Show & Tell…

Every other Monday a group of local ladies, myself included, meet at the Community Centre in Horncastle.  Our one common bond is that we all enjoy doing crafts of one sort or another, whether its knitting & crochet, patchwork & quilting, felting, rag rug, lace making, cross stitch…..the list is endless!  For a couple of hours we chat and work on our individual projects, sharing a mutual enthusiasm for all things handmade.  Today was ‘show and tell’ which involved everyone bringing something they had created and showing it off to the group.  There is such a lot of talent around, and so much of this creative work would otherwise be hidden away, that I thought I would put together a collage of some of the pieces to share with you, I hope you enjoy them.

  1. We are hopefully moving to just outside Horncastle shortly and once there I will be looking for a patchwork group during the day. I therefore wondered if you and the other ladies are still meeting up on a regular basis. Many thanks. Kathy Sodeau

    • Hi Kathy. This is a fairly old post which you have found and this was the first group I joined back in 2012. I have moved on to other groups since then but I do know that the ladies still meet at the Community Centre. Once you start asking around you will discover lots of different sewing groups in the area (or not too far away). There is the Lindsey Patchworkers in Louth, Sitting Ducks in Branston Booths and at least two quilting/patchwork groups in Woodhall Spa. If you want to email me again once you move in I will be happy to pass on contact details for the groups. Good luck with the move!
