This little 3D piece, made from grey Merino and found objects, is the first of a collection of pieces I am planning to make with the theme Memories of Ullapool…
The next piece, Rock Pool, is approximately 38cm diameter made from Bergschaf, Merino and found objects and features shibori, resists, inlays and stitching….
These are fantastic! I love them. The wool goes so well with your inclusions.

I love anything to do with inclusions, found objects and the sea. Unfortunately my only memory of Ullapool is as the place where a seagull crapped on my dad while we were waiting for a ferry to Stornaway! I think I was about ten at the time and found it so hilarious that nothing else about the place stayed in my memory!!

That’s so funny! Maybe it’s time for a return visit to the area so you can make new memories…..

I was just browsing through this lovely site and decided to read the comments to see if others loved the piece as much as I did. I needed a good chuckle. Thank you.
I’m guessing your dad wouldn’t appreciate seeing that depicted in your art.

Glad you liked the piece……fortunately it wasn’t my dad that had that experience!

It’s fun using inclusions. I especially love the last piece using different techniques. Well done!
